Coming from an Apple / Mac Fan and non iPhone or iPodTouch kind of Guy & Girl, I sure Hope Apple keeps Sharp on Macs... I was at my 1st and 5th Grader's Parent - Teacher Conference at Chautauqua Lake Central School on 11/18/10 and there were 3 or 4 Macs in each Home Room... I got to believe Steve knows that if they get the Kids Hooked on Apple that they'll be an Apple Buyer for iLife.... We are also ProSumer kind of FCP people and Love our Mac versus the Windows world... Get Your Kids Hooked on iKidsFishing and not on Drugs leads to an Apple a Day keeps the Doctor away... Get it...? So because you don't like Financial Times it's okay for everyone that they are holding out iPad subscriptions. This is exactly what's wrong with you Apple fanboys.
You should be penalizing Apple for allowing this to happen. but instead you jump for joy.

The Financial Times (and they're far from the only one) are complaining NOT because of the subscription fee split but because they loose "the direct relationship with subscribers". To put that into simple English they currently sell their customers information to marketing firms or use the demographic data to sell ads in the FT or related materials.
Now Apple aren't actually stopping that, they're just insisting that customers opt-in to the scheme rather than opt-out (or have no choice at all).
No matter how you look at it Apple is on the side of the consumer here. They're not denying that information to the FT, just trying to make sure consumers can choose whether or not they want that information shared with a third party and, more importantly, that the default is NO. That's a great, positive step forward, frankly ALL such marketing and data selling should be opt-in and very clearly marked and I wish Apple all the best.

Are you really saying that because Japan had limited natural resources it was justified in seizing Korea, invading Manchuria, invading China, attacking the Soviets, invading Indonesia, and attacking any country that decided not to resupply Japan's war machine?

The military can execute a criminal for rape or desertion. Treason is also a capital offense. None of these things involve killing a person, and desertion and treason might not involve any physical harm at all.
At any rate, you're still being very selective in your arguments. In the OP I laid out a series of reasons why the death penalty should be abandoned, and have only addressed one or two of them, and unconvincingly at that. Additionally, you have failed to make a convincing argument why life imprisonment without parole is not a sufficient punishment for the worst crimes.
The only thing you mentioned in the op is cost, which i already addressed. And as i said, i don't support capital punishment for crimes like rape, desertion, or treason. Actually, child rape is death penalty worthy. Either way though, I'm really not trying to prove anything, I'm just stating my opinion that i support the current laws regarding that. Not giving something you own to someone else is not an act of war. Besides, the USA didn't placed the oil embargo out of nothing. Japan started a war first, hence the oil embargo.
I bet the Japanese felt different, they were at war we directly threatened their national security through our political policy.
Again it's probably the same thing we would have done, the only difference is that were so powerful people don't feel comfortable snubbing our demands.

I'm wondering how to access your battery information through cocoa (such as your battery percentage, time remaining). I know that on iOS you access it through UIDevice, but I cannot think of an equivalent one for OS X, does anyone know?

Then the two of them went to separate bathrooms and, shortly thereafter, flushed toilets. Yeah, it was 29 years ago, and I remember it still. Of course, the nightmares help keep it in focus.

Although this is pretty cool, being a Web Designer, I'll never see myself using this, manipulating with a finger is difficult, especially when it comes to creating web interfaces & getting accuracy, because you have to remember we are working with pixels, there is no way u can get the accuracy of a mouse through any tablet..
Apart from that, even for professional photographers or those who do illustration I don't think they could make any real use out of this, at least not at this stage, we are use to using either keyboard (shortcuts) + mouse, or a wacom..

I agree 100% with both of your posts. It still bothers me that compressor is the only application that can make full use of both my Mac Pro�s CPUs.
And I really hate the look of low bitrate AVCHD but we have to work with it nonetheless.

That sarcasm is directed at compressor and not at you.
I WISH i could get compressor to work. Oh, sorry....I should clarify, to work beyond 1 frickin' file! If i start a batch, the only thing I'm not sure of is which error I'll get - it's usually 1 of 2.
Yet, I can use Innobits, Bitvice to compress MPEG2 files for DVD (and the ac3s) and well, wouldn't you know, this fine 3rd party apps makes all my cores jump with excitement without me even praying to get on my knees and cry for help :)
I'm a pretty laid back guy, but man compressor just busts my kahonies. Heck, I even emailed Mr. Jobs about it (although nothing back).
And don't even get me started on having to export to QT first. I do not even come close to understanding the logic behind that considering it's their own software!
BUT, compressor is stopping me from upgrading to an 8core so no more money for Apple in that case. No sense spending a few grand on a machine whose potential won't even come close to being tapped.
I don't drink, but feel like I should have one right now.

Heck I have said some crap to good friends of mine on the ice and they have said some crap to me. Even at my level of play there's emotion that sometimes gets the better of us.
That's funny, because the ice team I started playing with (all straight guys except for me) recently kicked a guy off the team for using the F word repeatedly, and that was before I joined. I don't feel the need to use slurs when I play, and neither do they. They think it's cheap, immature and they won't tolerate it.
