Theres a couple way to do it.
You could just copy and paste it on every page.
If your server supports php, php includes (http://php.net/manual/en/function.include.php) are probably the best way to handle this.
I you're using a program like Dreamweaver look into creating templates (http://www.ehow.com/how_14826_create-template-web.html)

Or use CSS or a style attribute:
Add this to your CSS file:
body { background: url("image.png") #FFF 50% 50% no-repeat fixed; }
Which is the same as:
body {
background-image: url("image.png");
background-attachment: fixed;
background-color: #FFF;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: 50% 50%; /* horizontal vertical */
}
Or, if you don't have a CSS file just add a style attribute to the body tag:
<body style="background: url('image.png') #FFF 50% 50% no-repeat fixed;">
Note: I might have made some spelling errors... ;)

Hi, I'm selling my 2007 White MacBook.
In line with most of the suggestions on this forum I've securely wiped the drive and done a re-install but have hit a problem.
The machine came with OS X 10.4 Tiger but I've since upgraded it to Leopard then Snow Leopard.
Ideally I'd like to give the new owner the new MacBook experience with the spinning Welcome text but I'd also like to stick them on the latest Snow Leopard.
The problem is, when I do a fresh install of Snow Leopard the machine won't have the iLife applications (they are on the original Tiger install disks).
Is there a way I can get the iLife apps on there without needing to set up an account on the machine?
If not, what's the best thing to do?
Setting up an account is something I'd rather not do (I know I'd be annoyed if I bought a second-hand MacBook and it already had an account on it).
On the other hand installing Tiger and giving them the upgrade disks also seems a bit poor too.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks in advance.

That is awesome! When I saw your title, I was thinking that you were hoping someone would invent them, or had been drinking too much V8. These headphones really exist!? Sweet. Would they still function in Antarctica? Ok, let's amend that. Would they still work at, say, minus 25 degrees celcius (ya, I'm from Canada).

$1800 is an extremely good deal for that system.
It was $3500 new.
Is it still under the AppleCare Warranty?
What are you hoping to accomplish with a stress test?
I have a similar setup and can encode video, render 3d animation, browse the web, run itunes, and have 2 windows VMs running. My machine never seems to miss a beat.

I would use Arctic Silver 5 as your paste but any of the "premium" pastes will do. The cheaper ones may not have the advertised metallic silver content if they use it at all.
For cleaning your new processors and getting old thermal paste off, ArctiClean is excellent - a few cotton buds will make quick work of old paste.

To wrap up...
People were joining the queue at 5pm still, stocks were extremely limited by that point and only a handful of specific models remained.
Overall the queue was well over 200 growing steadily all afternoon.
Staff were great, chatty and friendly and dishing out StarBucks coffee and bottled water all afternoon
Here a quick video of the moment of the curtain drop which i saw thanks to a timely reshuffle of the queue
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UT0-RKR0wF8&hd=1
I was 80th in line and managed to get everything i wanted and was out of the store and on my way home by about 5:45pm
Fairly well organised and would definitely consider going there again for a launch
the way launch was handled at some stores here in the US was a nightmare! :eek:

Hey, look under the iPhone threads and at the top (as of now) someone has a 4gb on ebay for $117.50 at the moment. His thread is titled something like "Any suggestions on this ebay listing." Good luck !

I've just checked, it has a power cable and RCA audio output cables. Sorry if i'm being slow but i'm not completely confident with 'line level.' Does it mean that I can plug it into a home stereo? :)

Thanks. Could the new 6Gs be utilized in the current Mac Pro? I thought they only played well with the new 2011 MBPs...
I prefer going with one SSD and have the rest HDD for now since I have a budget.
Anyone else like to chime in?
Yes, 6G isn't used in 2010 MP (unless you insert a separate Controller), only in 2011 MBP. So you can buy 3G SSD as well. I would use 1 SSD for system and programs, one SSD (optional) as scratch (or a partition in the outer area(!) of one or more HDDs) and 3 or 4 HDDs as storage in RAID 5 or 0. And a big external storage for TM.

Hi everyone,
I am using my old iBook G4, running on Mac OS X 10.4.11 with it's original battery in. It apparently has a full capacity of 52% and has a charge cycle of 277. It lost two percent it, like, 5 minutes and it runs really well, but is the battery one to give up on, keep using with adapter plugged in all the time or just stop the old Book once and for all?
PS. Runs very well but can be a bit slow at times. Is the 1.2 GHz with 256mb built in RAM. No upgrades, but I am using the charger from a iBook G3,and that is 50 watts.

In this day and age there MUST be a way to play World of Warcraft on a PowerPC machine. People these days seem to have a trick or way to force install things that were never meant to be.
So come on, someone out there... all I want to do is play my old school WoW (original game w/no expansions) on my old school G5. It worked before the stupid patch 4.0.1 came along so there MUST be a way to make it work.
Anybody?! Please?!

for those people who connect their HDTV to a mac mini : At the end of the evening, do you switch mini off or you let it go to sleep automatically??
I'm using plex on it combined with plex app (and airmouse) on my iphone. Switching it off each evening is a bit of a hassle, and i was wondering if you can just let it go to sleep??

There are lay-ins from either smalldog or radtech that work well. They work to simply cover the keys from contacting the screen (especially keeping your finger oils off of it) which will help to avoid the bright squares some people have on their screens.

Hello All
This is my first attempt at AppleScript to mount a network share from a Windows 2003 server on a Mac. When I mount the share manually, (Go > Connect to Server) it works perfectly.
When I try and do it through AppleScript it fails every time and I was wondering if someone could help me please?
Here is the script:
============
tell application "Finder"
activate
try
display dialog "Making CC4 Drives available - Press OK to continue or Cancel to stop"
mount volume "smb://cc4stdfs/rmshared%20documents"
display dialog "RM Learning Resources are available in Finder"
on error
display dialog "This Mac is unable to access RM Learning Resources"
end try
end tell
============
And here is the Event Log:
============
tell application "Finder"
activate
display dialog "Making CC4 Drives available - Press OK to continue or Cancel to stop"
--> {button returned:"OK"}
mount volume "smb://cc4stdfs/rmshared%20documents"
--> error number -10004
end tell
tell application "AppleScript Editor"
mount volume "smb://cc4stdfs/rmshared%20documents"
--> error number -36
end tell
tell application "Finder"
display dialog "This Mac is unable to access RM Learning Resources"
--> {button returned:"OK"}
end tell
Result:
{button returned:"OK"}
============
I've Googled it but can't find anything to suggest what isn't working?
Any help anyone could be would be great!
Thanks in advance

After a quick look at your code, I'd say you have a collapsed div.
looking at line 223
---
<div class="ngg-albumcontent">
<div class="ngg-thumbnail">
<a href="/photos/?album=all&gallery=3"><img class="Thumb" alt="thumbs img 7660 1 Photos" src="http://beforethecubicle.com/blog/wp-content/gallery/pre-trip-photo-fun/thumbs/thumbs_img_7660-1.jpg" title="Photos" /></a>
</div>
---
your class="ngg-thumbnail" doesnt clear the float so class="ngg-thumbnail" collapses, I'm guessing.
Check out the section about collapsed divs, http://css-tricks.com/all-about-floats/.
