UGh. What a mess. Waited in line for 8 hours and they are sold out. So angry right now.
really sorry to hear that. reading about the insanely long lines at the apple store in brea, i headed over to best buy in fullerton instead. arrived at 1p and was 13th or so in line. i wish you all the luck in getting an ipad soon.
Nobody seemed to be touching those Verizon iPads with a 10 foot pole.
and i find that really surprising. despite at&t's faster (when available) data speeds, i've always found coverage to be completely spotty, especially in fullerton and brea. opted for a verizon ipad.

Any idea where the best place for a black 16 wifi would be? I think that's all I really need, no 3g and i'll only have apps, maybe a movie here or there when traveling, no? Brea is the closest to me but it sounds like a battlefield, i'd prefer a Best Buy since I have giftcards but my recent time spent there makes me feel like i'd rather spend the money in gift cards to not have to go there again.

One of the best parts of my recent vacation was swimming with, and hand feeding, the stringrays at Stingray City, a sandbar off Grand Cayman Island where a large population of them congregate. wow Matt, you must live in a special area of Minneapolis, because my experience with AT&T coverage in Minny is terrible! I was over in St. Louis Park just yesterday and my wife and I both had NO SERVICE until we got into Edina, and when my wife was in downtown at her patent lawyers office (IDC) she had 1 bar on Edge, and could not stay connected for more than 30 seconds before dropping the call. Thankfully in Prior Lake, I have decent coverage.
That's odd because I get great service in St. Louis Park (I'm in that area a lot) and I live and work downtown and get great service both indoors and out. I very rarely go below 5 bars anywhere I am in the metro area - I only experience diminished service along I-35 heading north to Duluth. My roommate has an iPhone as well and has the same experience I do. I've had AT&T now for about 3 years and have never had problems. I do agree that Sprint has great service as well in MN, I had them before the iPhone came out.

D'oh, how could I forget Zev Bellringer in LEXX played by Eva Habermann. Who became Xev Bellringer played by Xenia Seeberg.
Not really the same though as simply dropping a new actor in the same role without skipping a beat, as being sci-fi they could regenerate her in a different body. And what a body. Both of them. I preferred Zev myself, sad to see her go.

Also, slightly different situation as well, every time they make a TV series out of a successful movie they swap the actors in the same roles. Nearly all of them in most cases. M*A*S*H and Stargate for example. Radar and Father Mulcahy were the only two to remain the same in M*A*S*H I think. And only the two characters from the planet of Abidos in Stargate if I recall.

T-Mobile towers use different frequencies and will become part of the AT&T network. Apple must have iPhone support for that frequency, in order to ensure ease of transfer once the merger is finalized.

I should add that this is the one reason I'm interested in VMWare - native disk speed. I can partition my disk to XP and Mac ala Bootcamp and have VMWare use the partition natively for disk access.

I'm not sure why we even need an iPhone 5.
The iPhone 4 is a great form factor. It does the job. At most what it needs is a spec jump (64GB, and maybe clock the CPU faster) and that should hold people over for another year.
I mean, before we had:
iPhone
iPhone 3G
iPhone 3Gs (pretty much the same form factor but faster CPU)
iPhone 4
I suspect we may get an iPhone 4 plus or something like that.
Also, do you people really need a new phone every year? I had my Treo 650 for nearly four years. The only reason I only kept my Palm Pre for less than a year was that it started having hardware problems.
This makes me sad. The palm pre part. It was a great phone, but unfortunately its hardware was terrible. It may have been to palm what the iPod was to Apple if only they hadn't slacked in that area. Quite a shame...

Well, at least with the new iChat features people MIGHT actually start using iChat instead of Adium. Maybe?
Oh yeah, forgot about iChat. :p The remote desktops feature is neat. But I'm guessing that it'll only work Mac-to-Mac? Can still put it to good use, but still - for going 10.4 to 10.5, I feel as if Leopard has its uses but is underwhelming in the end.
